That whole lot is a bunch of sore losers from the Kerry thread and others like it.

I'm particularly amused by Calculated Risk, who repeatedly insisted he's a Republican and a former Republican convention delegate. He's blown his cover in several posts over on that new thread, along the lines of this one:

Friends, I'm done posting on the Kerry thread. Hopefully there will be a thread for the more progressive thinking SI members. Maybe this thread would be a nice home ...

Best to all.

Today was a tough day for all of us. I am glad that we have this online community to console each other.

I've been talking to friends all day and there are many deep fears over what might happen. It is easy to borrow trouble, but it is probably better to focus our energy on positive activities. In my local community, in the heart of Republican territory, we formed a strong Kerry supporters group. We have agreed to keep meeting regularly (and holding other activities) so we can 1) promote specific issues and 2) have an organization in place to make an impact on the 2006 mid-term elections, 3) react to events as a group.

This year we directed our efforts out of state, so we didn't make any progress locally. In fact, Kerry took 39% of OC compared to 40% for Gore in 2000. Not good. We had similar results for the local congressional seat.

We have work to do.

Btw, I'm sure I'll only get one post over there if any, so I'm saving up.<g>
