Social Security privatization, the flat tax, and tort reform

SS needs to have it's starting age raised for those under 50. At the same time start privatizing those at early ages.

My biggest objection to privatizing is that Congress will not be able to withstand pressure in the future to let people get at their money. Whatja gonna do when a guy is broke and his kids are sick etc, etc? You know they will let them "borrow" the bucks.

I can see a flat tax starting at a fairly high base. A value added or sales tax approach won't work. But not yet. I think we will end up giving the present system a "haircut."

Tort reform is a done deal, IMO.
