I don't think there is any way out of the polarization between Bush supporters and his opponents. There are millions of Americans who think that Bush's world view and that of his followers will utterly destroy the environment, peace in the world, the future for all our children, freedom for Americans, etc. These opponents do really believe that Bush supporters are short-sighted and narrow-minded. Sometimes there is just no way to please everyone and be polite, and this is one of those times. I think America is in HUGE trouble (as does most of the civilized world that reads the news (not Fox), understands history and has compassion in their hearts. A "faith-based" group of yahoos who wave the American flag proudly but don't even care that 100,000 innocent civilians have died in Iraq and who believe that only heterosexuals deserve basic human rights have some pretty strange values, and "lib dems" everywhere should continue to point that out.
