You ask a lot of questions, and there are indeed answers, although you may not like them:
1) - it's someone else's strip of land as well. Ditto the USA which was someone else's big strip of land as well.
Actually, unless you are talking about the ancient Canaanites, there has been an ongoing Israelite-Jewish presence there for over 3000 years. There are no people called Palestinains: this was the creation of the Egyptian backed PLO.
2) - even in the USA, Jewish intermarriage is on the increase and the numbers of Jews is on the decline --- I've heard this many times but I don't know the numbers.
I have been hearing that siren call for years too, and the facts don't support it. Intermarriage breeds as many jewish children as it doesn't.
3) the demographic time bomb in Israel is a huge problem: Jewish women have 2 children and Palestinian women have 6 children on average. At some point it's going to start looking like South Africa and apartheid.
No, it will never look that way, because the state of Israel's boundaries will be permanently drawn, and there won;t be as many Arabs in there, as believed. Watch for large migrations to Egypt and Jordon.
4) Why are Israelis embracing evangelical Christians who want jews to convert or die a horrible death? Hypocrisy in order to get tourism?
Israel has always protected the Christians; there is a long history of this, you only need look to Lebanon for recent historical proof
5) Enough is enough. The latest turn of Jewish voters to the Republican right-wing is astonishing. What is going on?
I can'r speak for all Jews, but I can tell you why I voted for Bush:
Jimmy Carter - Ted Kennedy - John Kerry -
Jimmy Carter loved Arafat, and got him a nobel proze, all the while he kept killing Jews.
Ted Kennedy - his father would have manufactured ovens, if he could have.
John Kerry - wanted to hold summits and coalitions, with the same people who supported Arafat;
In summary, during the Clinton years, Arafat was the single most visiting foreign official to the White House,
When Bush took office, Arafat was improisoned by Ariel Sharon, who took Arafat's place as the single most visiting foreign official in the White House, and, may I opine, will assist the US in minimizing the death of our soldiers, as we take on Iran Lebanon and Syria.
WW III is what it is all about; you can pick your own starting date, but we are in it. |
