I wanted to do exactly the same thing. They said I had to send them a letter requesting the transfer which I did by overnight mail arriving at ETrade Tuesday morning. They have finally said today that my shares will be in my Waterhouse account tomorrow morning. I'll believe it when I see it! When the dust has settled I'm closing my ETrade account. They will never see another dollar of my money unless I need to sell some shares in my margin account to settle up with them. Steve
