SANTA ROSA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 4, 2004-- Medtronic, Inc. (NYSE:MDT - News) announced today that it has acquired Angiolink Corporation, a privately held medical device company focused on developing innovative wound closure solutions for vascular procedures. Angiolink's EVS(TM) (Expanding Vascular Stapling) Vascular Closure System, which received FDA approval this week, is engineered to close the femoral artery access site after vascular procedures, such as diagnostic angiography, balloon angioplasty and stenting. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
