You want gay marriage, most of us are fine with civil unions. What's the difference, other than the wording? You guys are pro choice to a fault (I don't see how anybody can support partial-birth abortion...absolutely sick), many of us want limits on it, but not outright banning. You can't get rid of it entirely IMO as it would just move back into the back alleys. What's wrong with parental notice though? Putting a limit on an abortion within the first trimester? The above all makes sense to me (your suggestions), and I have the same ideas about gun control - why not put a 3 month waiting period to buy a handgun, and mandatory annual classes on anyone that wants to own a handgun?
