Oh, I think Russert is capable of describing Clinton or Kerry on the air in a "folksy" manner that would approximate the Bush description. He is a Monahan liberal. But he does about as good a job of steering to the middle as you could expect.

It is certainly a better job than Matthews, et al, do.
