Good. Now that the financial problems are temporarily solved, maybe the buyout is right around the corner. I suppose these preferred stock and warrants might be related to the "strategic alternatives." Perhaps this is an equity infusion by Safeguard, which may now own 30% of NM. I've been studying price charts of other stocks which have announced that another company is acquiring them. A lot of them had price action similar to NM's recent movement. In other words, volume fluctuated from low to very high levels, despite the stock trading in a very narrow range (such as 4.9-5.1). Eventually, there was a brief surge of volatility, immediately followed by the announcement. Perhaps this delay in filing the proxy (and annual meeting date) is indicative of nearly resolved negotiations. If another company buys NM, there may be no need for an annual report.

Regardless, the stock price should jump nicely tomorrow.
