Condi for Prez in 2008?
BOOKER RISING

Folks are talking about Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton's possible presidential bid. However, we believe that the first female president will come from the more conservative political party, as that is where the toughest reticence about electing a female president would rise. The Republican Party is currently it.

There’s a website urging Dr. Condoleezza Rice to run, set up way before the recent election. Some folks have argued that it would be the Democrats’s worst nightmare, because Dr. Rice - who describes most of her views as "shockingly libertarian" - could siphon a significant number of white female and black votes. The evangelical Christian is a foreign policy hawk, pro-choice on abortion, favors small government, opposes gun control, supports free trade, and generally opposes affirmative action (with a few exceptions).

Dr. Rice graduated from University of Denver at age 19, has taught and been provost at Stanford University, and has national security and foreign policy experience. And she speaks four languages. Sen. Clinton just can't hang here.

Perhaps we could have a real first black President. Then again, unlike Sen. Clinton she has never held elected office. That will be a huge damper on her chances. Her pro-choice stance would hurt her in the Republican primary. And some folks won't vote for a black woman, no matter how qualified she is. In interviews, Condi has said that she ain't interested in being president. If Condi gets presidential dreams, here’s our advice: get married soon.
