That is an argument for the idea that same sex marriage should be recognized and supported. It is an argument that not doing so is not fair, perhaps even not just. It is not an argument for the idea that not recognizing such marriages "restricts our freedoms". It restricts their freedoms because it makes them look different. Any time differences are highlighted and condemned, people lose their freedoms. ted
