Doug,

Every once in a while I get bothered by the momentum that Java seems to have and worry about performance on a thin-client desktop. But then I keep reminding myself that you can run Java apps at the server and just display them at the desktop. Are all these Java proponents determined to run the Java apps at the desktop? Or do they just want to keep from locking themselves into a single vendor's OS? Do they even think about running Java apps centrally? I'd appreciate any insight you have. Thanks.

Jim
