Good manners on SI are dictated by the terms of the engagement and the engagee, for example, if I was to call someone a salesman, that would imply that they had a bill of goods to sell. Maybe they think I need the snakeoil to be a better person. Perhaps if I use enough of the snakeoil I will get a nice mustache like theirs.

X has never tried to sell me a thing, what is it exactly you are selling ?
