There are mainstream Christian religions that advocate violence in their reading material, and then the instructors apparently tell them to ignore that part since it "doesn't apply anymore." To the person who is looking at it for the first time, what a shocker, I might say. Some of the violence in Christian religious reading material is actually worse than a R rated movie.

Some of the Christian material should be completely redone. It contains violence that is quite rattling - I certainly wouldn't let a child of mine listen to that violence, just like I wouldn't let a child watch a violent movie.

Wouldn't it be nice if ALL religions updated all their religious material and completely removed the violence?

So I agree with you - it's time for ALL the religions of the world to update their religious material to the 21st century by removing all this violent stuff in them. This violent stuff needs to go. Some of this stuff is stuck in the medieval age.
