Dan; the BMW deal has been on the burner for quite a while. But is there some disappointment in amounts hidden in these; or are we flat going into earnigs? Oh, announced today that SMU is doing a dog and pony show for the Army on ITS.

Aug. 2--SIMULA TO MAKE SEATS, AIR BAGS: Simula Inc. has been awarded one contract and received two purchase orders related to aircraft seats and automobile air bags.

The contract, announced Wednesday, calls for Simula's Airline Interiors subsidiary in San Diego to supply aircraft seating systems to an undisclosed U.S. airline. The initial order is for seats for two of the airline's MD-80 aircraft, with delivery scheduled for September and October.

The subsidiary also has received a purchase order from Airtours, a tour operator based in Manchester, England, for aircraft seats on several of its Airbus A-320 aircraft. Delivery is scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter and finish by early next year.

In addition, Simula has received its first purchase order, valued at $3 million, to supply side air bags for 1997 BMW 700-series cars. The air bags,
