Organized religions are anti-abortion for utilitarian reasons.
Increased population brings more potential followers who will give more money and increased numbers of adherents brings more power.
The killing in shrub's crusade amounts to nothing more than delayed abortion.
Appeasing the wingnuts by adopting one of their lunacies is not a solution.
