You appear to be arguing that Iran's nuclear ambitions are based on static reasoning. Don't you think they have factored in the events of the last 4 years as well?

Can you answer this question: If Gore had been elected instead of W, would the Iranians have declared themselves pacifists and stopped their nuclear efforts?

The fact of the matter is that their efforts have spanned both GOP and Dem administrations. The evidence shows that they are intent on developing nuclear weapons regardless of which party is in power in America. Hence, Michael's partisan spin really doesn't hold water, in my estimation.
