IMO you guys just can't stand that X can outthink and outargue any RWer on SI, and that she treats you dismissively.

I have to disagree with you on at least part of your conclusions. I agree that X has demonstrated her intelligence. She has demonstrated her ability to raise the bar by taking fractal positions regarding conventional wisdom.

I agree that some people pose no thoughtful challenges to her positions at all. Name calling or simple bantering is not arguing, winning or losing. It is simply local color for entertainment.

However, many people have posed sound arguments to X’s positions on topics. When this happens she becomes dismissive and places challengers on ignore. While she continues to argue. She has made it clear on several occasions that she isn’t interested in discussing the provocative positions with people who would argue from a different perspective. How is this out thinking or out arguing? The dismissiveness, represents a loss to me, on her part. It also leaves the participants with a feeling of unfinished business. This, IMO, is an intentional coquettish ploy by X. Normal people naturally want to attend to unfinished business in an effort to seek resolution. I don’t see anything particularly intelligent about that. In fact, it seems a bit like a personality disorder. And I see her whines about stalkers as disingenuous.
