I think your version of the near future is possibly accurate, but very depressing. While we are slaughtering all the Muslims, the environment is degrading, the polar ice caps are melting, and a lot of people are suffering. Regarding Israel specifically, I don't believe Israel has the right to exist, and the early leaders of Israel were all terrorists. The multi-decade story of the Palestinians being massacred, degraded by living in refugee camps, and disrespected totally, is at the core of the Muslim rage so prevalent today. On top of this big mess are Bush's religious beliefs, which favor Israel. It is all really too much to think about, sometimes.
