Mark, I wrote you a long reply earlier and it just wouldn't submit. I will do this in a few smaller notes. In general, I don't care for newsletters and I think they are mostly written by those who are more carnival barkers than securities experts. However, I do like The Capitalist's Companion and Fred Hickey's High Tech Strategist. I disagree with both at least as often as I agree. But, the idea of reading a market letter is to stimulate thinking, not to back up my opinion. The reason I like these two letters is that these guys do not take company comments at face value and they look for the good stuff among disasters and the bad stuff among winners. I do not like Value Line's ratings, but I do love their stats. Where else can you get stats and a chart on Micron that goes back to when the company was started. People ask why I like 15 year stats and charts for tech stocks. And the answer is that shorter periods simply don't capture the cycles. Look for your name, Mark, for the rest of this reply. MB
