This shouldn't be news to anyone. The industry shipments forecasts were to decline 15-20 percent worldwide led largely by sharp declines in the Asian markets. After all, lead times for most equipment makers are 6-10 months. What FSI has going for it is its ability to rapidly ramp up shipments if their orders pick up. So they can respond much quicker than the rest of the industry. A better indicator of health is the bookings numbers which have been very healthy for a number of months. The industry is turning - the shipments just haven't caught up yet.
