Having bandaids on hand isn't too helpful in a major disaster.

Hi K,
Funny you bring that up.

Recently, I have been analyzing the contents of the new Red Cross emergency preparedness kits for families and businesses. I went through several different types last Friday at Ft Lewis, including the new high end kits.

The prices are between $5 and $180. But the higher priced family kits are not available at their website yet. One kit is $275. It is a basic 4 person kit expanded for 10 persons.

Local Red Cross offices should have information on how to order all of them and may have some in stock.

I highly recommend these kits especially the high end packs. They are a very good, quick solution for those who have taken no precautions.
I will have more to say on this soon, including some recommended additions.
