I am patient. I will stay on the cautious stance for now.

I am mostly concerned with the fervour that the US will display in supporting its economy and the fact that the rest of the world doesn't want to see them crumble either.

It is OK for all of us to shout "too bad for them there's nothing they can do now to prevent it. They're toast."

They are the world leader and they are inventive and creative people whom the world must follow. I sure hesitate to bet against them. I think a bit of insurance is a better way to play it.

I was talking to a newsletter writer from Pennsylvania yesterday and amidst a zillion things we talked about, I said " don't forget, we've got the tar sands and they're equal to the oil volume of Saudi Arabia." I then said "so what'll you guys do when you are starving for oil and the middle east is in conflagration?" He said no problem..."we'll just take it from you".
I told you they were resourceful Claude.:o)

My feeble reply was "remember when you guys tried to save your diplomats in Iran and your helicopters got bogged down in the sands of Iran in the windstorm? Just wait till you try to land in the sticky bogs of the tar sands". We exchanged laughs at that and then hung up.

Moments later upon reflection at rowing our subs across the Atlantic, I thought "We're fcucked!".

:o)
