first, there is no surplus. SS has been a transfer tax. there is a bucket full of IOU's. then it doesn't matter what numbers you use, the boomers can't saddle their children with taxes to pay for their retirement.

SS isn't going to work, and medicare is even worse. read the book. it will open your eyes
