I thought this from the Yahoo thread was worthy of a cross post:

Some points

Some points:

1. TVIN indicated earlier this year that it expected sales growth of 25%-35% over 2003. They revised this figure to 36%-37% today. Anyone doing the math could have come to some reasonable conclusions about sales in the 2nd half of the year.

2. At this stage of the game, with only 20% of appropriated funds spent, over 5 billion dollars remains to be committed to first responders and this does not include new funding for the coming year. Priddy mentioned in the last CC the potential for a 3rd quarter lull before a pick-up in orders began.

3. TVIN is seeking to crack a whole new market that has nothing to do with the terror threat, infectious diseases. There is a burgeoning market for the 16,000 US health facilities to provide an isolation capacity and this does not take into account the need abroad. Note that the acquired Capa technology has been incorporated into these offerings. I know from talking to the company that they expect a significant order stream to materilize from conversations they have already had but this has not started yet. Look for announcments soon in this area.

4. Capa... Exciting stuff here. The infectious/industrial product (K-series)is awaiting momentary NIOSH approval and is indicated to sell 3,000-5,000 units in 2005, an income stream that as of now does not exist. Furthermore, if TVIN can bring home a powered air device that operates on breath response, they'll turn the market on its head. If anyone doubts this, do some reading.

There are all kinds of investors in TVIN. Those who are not gratified by the quarter will sell. TVIN is necessarily expanding a product roster with an eye to the future. To avoid doing this might pump up short term profits but would hurt the company down the road as the market opportunity for terror offerings becomes mature. If TVIN can penetrate the infectious disease market and deliver on the promise of the a breath repsonse respirator, 2005 will be a very sastifying year.
