Since Nov. 2, Democrats have been trying to cope with the power of "values voters." More than 1 out of 5 voters cited "moral issues" as their primary reason for voting, and 80% of them chose President Bush.

I just finished another Zogby poll. The way they asked the questions, I came out as a moral-issues voter because I didn't put priority on the issues they offered as alternatives. If I'm in the same pot with the Christian conservatives, it must be a very big pot, indeed, and a very distorted one.
