You need kidneys or dialysis to rid the body of toxins (and fluid balance). You need some way of oxygenating the blood; lungs or a fancy, rare thing called an extra-corporal membrane oxygenator(ECMO). I think that is only good for a few days because it munches blood cells. I've never seen one.
By the time you have somebody on a vent, with dialysis and ECMO, and maybe even an artificial heart, you are left with one of those sci-fi scenes of a brain in a tank of nutrients.
