Here are a few more slogans you might like to put under your "thinking" cap: Ignoring reality does not change reality, Running your head into a brick wall does not usually damage the bricks, Better to recognize and avoid certain death than to whistle cheerful tunes in the dark and hasten toward it, and, finally, It's easy to bravely send others to die in a doomed enterprise, not so easy to go and die yourself.
