DOJ has filed their petition with the Supreme Court to try to overturn the 9th Circuits finding that section 922(o) is unconstitutional as pertaining to individuals simply posessing machine guns in accordance with their State and Local laws, as being outside the reach of Congress's interstate commerce regulatory powers. Anybody wish to discuss? I can provide a link to the writ of certiorari and other information. The current supreme court has twice recently ruled that simple possession without additional evidence, cannot be criminalized via the commerce clause without something more.
