LGF - The Cat Stevens Initiative
The full court press is on to rehabilitate the image of Cat Stevens, aka Yusuf Islam, as a group of Nobel peace prize laureates led by Mikhail Gorbachev gave Stevens their 2004 “Man for Peace” award.

Cat wants to thank the many Americans who wrote him to apologize for the actions of our evil government, who rudely deported Cat for his links to terrorism: Cat Stevens Says Many Americans Apologized to Him.

I’m still waiting for Cat Stevens to apologize for his statement openly supporting the death sentence against Salman Rushdie, to a group of Muslim students at London’s Kingston Polytechnic: “The Qur’an makes it clear, if someone defames the Prophet, then he must die.”

Then he could apologize for donating tens of thousands of dollars to Hamas.

And after that, he might consider apologizing for his keynote speech at a Hamas fundraising event in Toronto, in which he described Judaism as a “so-called religion.”

I question the timing of this sudden very public push to make Yusuf Islam into a fluffy, friendly, squeaky-clean representative of the Religion of Peace Train.
