That NY Post article sounds a bit like a hoax to me.

The reason I think that is: There are twelve gauge shotguns and there are Smith and Wessons, but as far as I know there are no Smith and Wesson shotguns, twelve gauge or otherwise. I could be wrong on this.

Smith and Wesson is primarily known for its handguns. And for the fact that it was bought up by the Brits during the Clinton era and nearly went under because the shooting public UTTERLY REJECTED the philosophy they tried to manage it under trying to please Clinton and his gun-hating hacks.

Smith and Wesson has since been bought by American interests and has worked very hard to undo the damage done to it by Clinton's crowd.
