OK, I picked a couple of instances and you did too. no conclusion either way, apart from citing instances.

But, look beyond that - who in the world could/would have entered into discussions with someone else ? Who carried the limelight ?

For all his faults, I am willing to ack that he was THE statesman representing whatever may be defined as the "Palestinian cause".
