When you post articles about the deaths of insurgents and you talk about body parts all over Fallujah and then you say that their lives are a loss for everyone involved, you leave your readers with the distinct impression you are grieving for them. Most of the rest of us are thinking, "good riddance." I don't grieve for men like Zarqawi or Arafat. We are all better off when men like that are dead.

Unfortunately, its not men like Zarqawi who are getting killed. Its guys not much older than kids who are dying. They got sucked in and think they are fighting for a cause. And now they lie dying on the streets of Fallujah. They were someone's brother, boyfriend, son.......am I supposed to be happy because they are dead?

The war of Iraq will not be won in Fallujah; in fact, its not likely to be won. In the end, I suspect their deaths will be meaningless; so will the deaths of their American counterparts. Its a loss.......a loss for everyone.
