Not so. In fact this is not true for the vast majority of humans. It is certainly true that given the right circumstances most of us would kill to survive. But it is also true that given the right circumstances most of us would willingly die to preserve our ideals or loved ones. Furthermore, there is good research that shows the most important contributing aspect of human evolution were its belief in compassion for fellow man and belief in the after life.

The typical Darwinian survivalist has simply not studied the nature and the evolution well enough.
