We catch the House of Commons on C-SPAN here in
the states. This stupid American cannot remember
what they were debating this last time--our
channel surfing stopped, and, mezmerized, we
sat in front of CSPAN for half an hour.

I generally become embarrassed for Bush and
am pretty quick to switch him off. I suppose
that is why I liked Dean, I don't remember
ever cringing. I did not get to see the time
he flipped out (the Jib Jab version is a must).

As democracy is perfected, the office represents,
more and more closely, the inner soul of the people.
We move toward a lofty ideal. On some great and glorious
day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's
desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a
downright moron.
