I have not read the report yet, but
I think I remember this: If climate change
results in warmer summers, arctic ice
goes away. If winters are warmer but
summers stay cool, then more snow and
ice can remain. It will be interesting
to see if there is any discussion of
seasonality.

Mainly, winters are dry and cold in the
arctic, warmer wetter winters mean more
snow, but if it all melts in the summer
anyway...
