Dowd And Out The correct term is "formulaic", where a talented individual's bag of tricks can be used only so many times before the same old same old (SOSO) stuff gets recycled and recycled again. In the case of joke-blogs like wonkette, before the same jokes get repeated ad nauseaum (like say, yesterday), she could choose to hire new comedy writers to make the site entertaining again, and grow the business, so to speak. In the case of Dowd. She's paid to write this stuff, so ghost writers are a no-no. I think other than a long relaxing vacation to recharge her creative batteries, I'm just afraid, this is going to be another burnt out bright light to eventually be casually tossed aside like Kerry's infamous ribbons/medals/ribbons. That would be a shame.
