I guess they are holding it for "prime time." God. Scott Peterson Trial By Chad Evans on U.S. News The final verdict of the Scott Peterson trial is set to be released at 4 p.m. EST today. My guess is that it will either be a mistrial or not guilty. I would side with not guilty based upon the judge not wanting to declare a mistrial through all of the irregularities that have already occured. The final jury has only been deliberating for a little over one day, therefore it is reasonable to assume there were not “problems” with finding Peterson not guilty. Naturally, it’s beyond a reasonable doubt and I’m not sure if you could find Peterson guilty beyond a reasonable doubt at this point.
