Darbes...Heres my post from Ihub...

Bobs10...

I'm really bullish after 2006...here's why

(1) I think AMD is going to be able to produce a ton of very good to excellent processors from FAB 36 without the desire to crazily increase the Die area unless competing with Intel for the Server crown...

(2) I think Microsoft is going to sell a Sh*tload of Xbox2/PC's for maybe $350-500 per unit and that is the reason for charter...pure gravy for AMD...

(3) Even with an ASP of $80 (I'm being conservative) with 40 million processors that's $3.2 billion with net revenue of $640 million per quarter (I'm being conservative again) with a P/E of 25 puts AMD's market Cap at $64 Billion...stock price $153 per share...:>)

This was another comment I made concerning Dell's possible adoption of Opteron...I think a sizable order from Dell would cause AMD to shoot up at least $10 bucks a share...I'm not concerned longterm even if there is short term fluctuations up and down...

"Isn't there a little more fat(profits) in the server market...would it really matter if Dell had to pay a little more if they have the business sales channel...I mean hector would have a Boner(pun fully intended) in a nanosecond if Dell said they would like 500,000 Opterons per quarter...combine that with another 500,000 Opterons from other Server Manufacturers...I think the ASP might actually go up due to capacity constraints and excessive demand..."

For the short term I think Dell will announce sometime before or close to Microsoft coming forth with their 64 bit operating system...if Intel cannot come up with something close to the quality of Opterons...I think Dell will still enjoy nice discounts from Intel in other areas and even offer their inferior Xeon 64's for some companies that are still stuck on Intel...
