No one fights with more bravery in the trenches than the British soldier. However, the command level has always been too cautious and risk averse to loss of life.

The bravery of either the British or the American soldier is a subject not broached in that article.

but only with the blood of millions of American and Russian troops willing to die.

Evidently you didn't read the article. It wasn't the blood of the American (or British) troops that was under discussion. Odd misunderstanding, since the article made a very simple point.

BTW: Is this a "war"? Not an invasion and occupation?! I think you're a bit confused: Hasn't it always been the custom of our country to declare war on countries that have attacked us? That represented a grave danger to us? Oh wait. We haven't declared war on Iraq!

I guess it's a peace-keeping mission.

It sure is good we're razing Fallujah. I feel a lot safer now, don't you?

What's going on in Mosul since we began bombarding Fallujah with explosives? I see the US military is saying the situation in Mosul is under control. Good going! It would be a shame if that city had to be exploded, too. Don't you just hate it when the Iraqi police strip off their suits and join the insurgents?

How do you think Bush's war is going in Iraq? Well worth ridding us of the threat of those WMD, I'd say. Oh wait.

I do hope that the end of this brilliant Bush strategy isn't an alliance of a Shiia (majority!) Iraq and Iran, the second and third largest oil reserves in the world, don't you?
