Well guys. I have some new info on our little gem here. It is emotionally a let down, but logically it is a very sound move, and IMO another down to earth decision by management. I spoke with Dan Cole today (VP). UMSI has decided not to submit their NASDAQ application as of yet. UMSI meets every NASDAQ requirement except for those directly related to the share price. They have been advised (by their finance partner) not to apply for NASDAQ until that price meets NASDAQ requirements. The reason being that UMSI would not want to cause negative feelings with impatient shareholders with a prolonged "pending" status. First knee-jerk reaction to this was not good but as I thought about it I came to realize that this is really best. First - UMSI cannot get their listing until they meet the NASDAQ price requirememnt. So what difference does it make whether they apply or not (I believe this is what John Allen may have been getting at a few posts back). Second - I have seen posts of companies on SI where a company would press release that they had submitted their aplication and then stayed pending for months and the shareholders totally lost all faith in management's honesty. Read the JAn '97 to date posts on IMDS for an example. UMSI wants to get their listing VERY much, but they don't want to submit their aplication until they meet ever single requirement so as to avoid a "prolonged status of pending". As a shareholder I support this action and am very pleased with management's vision. The rest of our conversation was just "shootin' the s!!t". Mr. Cole seems to be a pretty hip dude and I rather enjoyed my conversation with him. I would like to increase my position, but alas my broker is pushin' ABTX rather heavy and since ARCHIE's havin' such great success with them.... ARCH! Not down in the dumps at all! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS COMPANY AND ITS MANAGEMENT! Looks like I'm gonna free up about $1500 more in 2 1/2 weeks but since I picked up some more UMSI last week I beleive I'm gonna get some of that good 'ol super turf (ABTX)!! BUT! I promise that I will be buying more of UMSI around the end of September. I'd like to get my position up to 10,000 shares before the end of the year (right now only have 2025 shares). Presently waiting to get called out on some cc plays. UMSI IS THE YOUNG PRINCE JUST WAITIN TO RULE!!!!! love ya man hraka
