Wow, very nice! I see you have a few birch leaf miners too. I guess I better include some macro photo capability when I shop for a new digital camera. Most of the insect life here is so nondescript compared to where I grew up. I remember all those showy beetles, wasps, butterflies, etc from the warmer latitudes. When I was about ten years old I hatched and grew a full life cycle of the Cecropia moth, including all those cute instars munching away on chokecherry leaves. Found a web site with photos that illustrate the cycle: wormspit.com Here I'm lucky if I see a few swallowtails and dragonflies over the whole summer. But the good news is we have no Lyme disease or West Nile! -Snow
