"Greg's ramblings remind of the syphilitic Nietzsche who began weeping at the sight of a horse on a German street."

Syphilis is not a requirement for a sense of compassion and mercy. Many people have weeped for many reasons. They say that Jesus weeped. Well...there is reasonable certainty that the biblical Jesus never existed. But there is also certainty that many named Jesus have indeed weeped. Why not, Nietzsche?

I see Greg's self-serving "faith" and fear of "Hell" as having no connection to the compassion of Nietzsche for the suffering of another creature. Did you not cry at the death of your first dog? I did.

We have a capacity to conceive of unicorns and devils and ents and SaltHeart FoamFollower, too. But they were all inventions in stories. Some really good stories.....but stories, nevertheless.
