The Amish vote made the difference in OH, why didn't it have the same effect in PA? because there are more liberals in Philly area... almost the rest of the state is red. only other blue is Pitts area.

Rove started a get out the vote registration four years ago in Pa. How, in the churches of all faiths.. His organization was headed up by man who used to work for the Arch. dio. of philly, watch him during and interview about a week before the election and he was confident they could pull it out.. This recruiting in Pa. like other states was way under estimated by democrat party. They seem to think this was the Christen right but it was much more than that. The vote was about morales. like woopie, like richard moore, like forcing gay marriage, like the super bowl exposure incident, like more and more liberal papers showing only one side of stories, like the war on terror. democrats still do not get it.. It was not Kerry it is what they do not stand for!
Now in philly like Boston, chicago, nyc, you have the democrat machine that has been in power since immigrants, like Irish etc came over here and found the power to be was in politics. So they ran for public offices, became the mom and dad of workers , of poor, of anyone's needs. They get out the vote, who is the lowest paying tax brackets,, if they pay taxes at all are voting in these cities. I am remember back in Boston area days.. you wanted something done you called your councillor or rep. for snow plowing on your street, for pot holes being fixed, for summer job for kid. Every snow storm you could find your rep on the plow waving to his voters. Great advertisement, i am here to work for you! dole out the city jobs, you called him/her and if you worked on their campaign you got a summer job. You got generations of togetherness within the community.. you do not overcome or make major in roads into these large cities controlled right down to the local level. imo
