If someone says to you "Trust me" its your responsibility
to determine what begets your decision to accept it as fact.

Either you did not, and the error lies with you,
or you did and made a mistake, with error still of yours,
or it was true and external factors caused an outcome
that has charasteristics falsely attained by you as a scam.

"Its not the money stupid, but my false pride."

It will eat at you forever since it has a half life.
