This reminds me of the purge of gays from the agency. There were a myriad who knew Arabic and who were very essential in working with the Arab world yet after all their training and expertise they were dismissed as being too dangerous.. blackmail maybe ? If we were not such a paranoid nation in terms of what people do in their bedrooms and private we might not even know .. SHOW AND TELL.. NO it's Don't ASK don't tell. Deny who you are.

Purges sound like the Soviet Union. I don't trust them.. at all.
