Its not as complicated as you all are trying to make it. Read the indictment. For example look at this quote from the chatlogs in the indictment.

On January 12, 2001, at approximately 4:44 p.m., the defendant AMR I. ELGINDY stated in the AnthonyPacific.com chat room, regarding Company No. 1, "the 3 investigations are wire fraud, mkt manipulation, and mail fraud officially by the FBI SEC is doing a Title 15 investigation.. and none of this can leave or go public .. if you do you will be pros ... that’s a fact directly from the FBI.. erase the log..."

Assume the above is shown to be said by Mr. Elgindy. Then
1. Mr. Elgindy thought he had inside information, warning others not to disclose it any further.
2. Mr. Elgindy traded on that information, at least in part.
3. He thought people would get "pros(ecuted)" if they disclosed this inside information.
4. He wanted this disclosure to be deleted from the chatlog. Why would that be?
5. Last I checked, you can not find anywhere on the internet, information on ongoing "FBI investigations". If there is I would like to see it.
