Coug, I think I would like to comment on your post to E again. I don't think I did a very good job the first time. Let's Talk About Our Feelings tries to be a thread where hurt feelings can be worked out. I have been gone several years, but now that I am back I am trying to help make this thread a place where people can disagree vehemently about ideas or politics or any subject, really, but respectfully, in a way that doesn't disintegrate into personal attacks filled with venom. I think almost everyone here has been involved in some long and nasty battle of words. I know I have. It wasn't very pleasant! But we are trying to turn over a new leaf and have a thread where anyone who can stay civil is welcome, and a wide variety of posters can feel comfortable. It is impossible for me to know what happened with you and E. It is VERY easy to get into a fight electronically because there is no particular motivation to be polite or resolve issues like we have to with friends, coworkers and neighbors (unless we want to live the rest of our lives as snarling scary hermits). So I really hope the two of you can resolve your misunderstanding in a positive way.
