TP, ere is a minority of the democratic party which is still within the FDR new deal. Because of senority rules, this minority effectively controls much of the party.

Not sure what you are getting at here. Seems like the new energy of the Democrat party comes from the Hollywood left and the former Deaniacs. Even FDR and JFK would be considered middle-of-the-road today.
