I dont think he is a liberal, but for sake of arguement, my answer is if Conservatives are in power, they have the right to select a conservative Chairman. If the shoe were on the other foot, you can be sure that Liberals would want a Liberal chairman. Personally, I'd like to do away with the committe altogether, every judge nominee IMHO is entitled to an UP OR DOWN vote by the full Senate. THEN we the PEOPLE get to know how EVERYONE STANDS. This committee BS is just another way to FOOL US. jdn
